A Gift Of Many Lifetimes
Reach Out To Someone This Holiday Season
As the holiday season approaches it is important to remember that not everyone is looking forward to it. There are people who have lost loved ones, people who don’t have family so are alone, people struggling to make ends meet, oh so many stressed in so many ways.
This is an important time to reach out to those in your circle that need an act of kindness.
It only takes a bit of time to think of who they might be. If you are not sure think about someone who may has stopped contacting you. Take a few minutes and think about who may have been the life of the party last year but, in fact, you haven’t heard a word from them lately. Think about the person you work with that has been acting agitated or troubled. Just take the time to think about those around you that may not be your family, or even friend, maybe just someone you met – do you see them now?
What can you do to brighten their lives, help them a bit through the holidays. Well in fact it doesn’t take much. Making a phone call might make the world of difference to them. Or sending them a card. You actually don’t have to do much, a small step can make a big difference.
If you want to do something to ease their stress here is a few ideas.
On our site we offer soul soothing gifts. These are gifts to help not matter what time of year it is, but can make a different during the holidays. You can see them here.
Or send them flowers or a plants. We have a great selection flowers and plant gifts here.
We all know that sweets can help our moods, in fact chocolate can stimulate endorphin production, which gives a feeling of pleasure! Check out our sweet gourmet gift selection here.
No matter what, it is so important to reach out to people and let them know you care. Whether it is a gift or simply a kind word
A Perfect Birthday Gift For The Woman In Your Life Means Thinking Of Who They Are
So the title says all you need to do is ‘think of who they are’. Sounds simplistic doesn’t it, especially when you are buying a present for the woman (wife, mother, daughter, girlfriend. etc.) who seems to have it all.
But think about it.
How well do you know the person you are buying the birthday present for? If it is someone in your family you should know them fairly well. Sometimes it is just a matter of sitting and thinking about things you remember them talking about. Or just take some time and be with them in advance of their birthday. Listen to what interests them. Ideas can actually come over a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. It really is, in my opinion, knowing who they are. Then of course finding it.
Birthday Gift For The Women In Your Life.
If you are lucky there are many women in your life who you will celebrate a birthday with. So let’s look at some on the great ideas by relationship.
You Wife or Girlfriend (hopefully not both 🙂
If it is the first birthday you have spent together as a married couple I would suggest you give her a special birthday present to celebrate that occasion so I would try jewelry (doesn’t have to equal the engagement or wedding ring, just something that she will remember as the first). Whether your wife, or your girlfriend, if you are past the first year jewelry absolutely still works, but you can also be a bit more intimate, if you think you are ready.
If you know her style, take the plunge and give her a clothing or shoe gift. Trust me, she will be incredibly impressed (because it means you know her). If she is not big on flowers, though she may very well be but a something additional would do the trick, try something fun as a gift. Always try to keep in mind that as much as it is what you buy, it is also showing her that you know her and what she likes, regardless of cost.
Your Mother
Mum’s are pretty easy. They are happy that you think of them and remember their special day. So flowers or plants will work. One category I see people shy away from his home gifts. Long gone are the days of Mum being horrified by something for the home, so much has changed. No longer just a blender, or just a coffee pot, home is where the heart is and you can find so many great items she will love. Home presents are fabulous and so many to choose from. Check out some here and personally picked home gift ideas here.
Your Daughter, Niece or Grand Daughter
This can be a big challenge depending on the age. Young one’s are happy with a box and a cake. A bit older and you may want to look at toys, arts & crafts, a bit older than that and you are into clothing, jewelry and electronic gadgets. Have a look here. So many great ones I wish I was given as a kid.
The Skier Controlled Tow Boat – An Ultimate Gift
The ultimate fun present. The whole family would love this!
Skier Controlled Tow Boat
This is the unmanned water skiing boat that’s controlled entirely by the skier. A six-button control panel on the tow rope handle sends signals to the boat, allowing skiers to start, accelerate, decelerate, turn, or stop the vessel with slight thumb movements.
The nearly 8′-long boat has a three-cylinder, two-stroke 70 horsepower engine with jet pump and axial flow propulsion, generating speeds up to 40 MPH and creating wakes for jumps and other tricks.
The jet propulsion engine is safer than propeller-powered crafts and provides superior acceleration and quicker planing–the time required to bring the skier and vessel level with the water surface.
The tri-hull boat is made from durable fiberglass and molded plastic and it has a bilge pump that automatically removes water from the vessel.
The boat has a six-gallon gas tank and it automatically stops when the skier lets go of the handle. Includes a 40′-long tow rope.
For use in water that’s at least 6′ deep, the boat is also ideal for slalom skiing, knee boarding, wake boarding, or tubing. What fun!
Check out the Skier Controlled Tow Boat.
Imagine having this in the summer. You don’t have to wait around for someone to tow you around, you do it yourself. How great would that be 🙂
Help-I Need a Gift For Someone Who Has Everything
As the Beatle’s sang “Help, I need somebody, Help, I need anybody, Help!
I hear your pain…
If you have read my bio, you know that I started this site because I spent so much time myself searching the internet to find unique gifts for those special people in my life who had everything, or were hard to buy for. Really they are the same… I’m sure you know what I mean. The gift has to be unique, at the very least. Or depending on the person the gift has to be unusual. But then again the person you are buying for may fall into the conventional category, which makes it even harder to find a unique traditional gift. It doesn’t have to be expensive, but it could be. What’s most important is it must be something they will enjoy getting and be memorable (in positive way).
So here are a few additions I have added to the site lately that I hope will help you.
For Women:
Is she a fashionista, or wants to wear the latest trends? Try this page. Fabulous Fashion
For Men:
Is he a guy’s guy? Try this page. The Male Room
For Everyone:
Do they love unique clothes, jewelry, furnishings? Try these pages.
Of course there can be crossovers on all the pages.
I am very excited to show you these new pages. Yah, they are not ‘chock full’ yet. Takes me time to search these all out for you!
Finding Unique Traditional Anniversary Gifts Is Not So Easy
At the beginning of July I told you I was starting a page for “unique traditional anniversary gifts”, not just traditional ones. I emphasize the unique as that has not been as easy as I thought it might be.
Some were ‘fairly easy’ (though I use the term ‘fairly’ loosely) to find unique gifts for, but others, well not so much.
Here are some examples of what I mean…
1st Year Anniversary Gift – Paper – well if you just want to give a fancy piece of paper that would be easy. This one was my first hurdle. Little did I know it actually would be my easiest.
13th Year Anniversary Gift – Lace – this was easy for women but not so easy for men. A few centuries ago, no problem, but now? What’s the matter guys, afraid of a little lace? Back in the romantic era even tough guys wore lace.
14th Year Anniversary Gift – Ivory – well of course ivory is protected so I really had to think outside of the box on this one.
15th Year Anniversary Gift – Crystal – this was easy for couples gift and women but not so easy finding a crystal gift for men. Get men a nice crystal bowl and they’ll have it full of dry roasted peanuts in no time…
35th Year Anniversary Gift – Coral – this was easy for women, but again not so easy for men, other than a belt buckled with coral and a coral colored shirt.
Do you notice a trend? I sure did. It seems that if you want to find the every day kind-of anniversary gifts it is easy to pick out ones for both men and women, but if you want traditional anniversary gifts – and especially Unique Traditional Anniversary gifts, it is way easier to find them for women than it is for men. A bit strange to me because men like gifts too!
So the page is now up to 35th Year Anniversary Gift. What do you think? http://forsomeonewhohaseverything.com/Anniversary-Gifts.html
Anniversary Gifts – It’s Our 9th Year Anniversary!
As you know I have been working very hard on creating our Unique Traditional Anniversary Gifts page. Well here we are at our 9th anniversary on August 2nd. Can you tell there has been a bit of a ‘method to my madness’, besides wanting to help you find unique anniversary gifts.

The 9th Year Anniversary Gift is pottery, and I love pottery, so I’m looking forward to this anniverary, and the gift 🙂
