We all know it can be hard to find a gift for tweens and teens that they will love. Here are a few I found.
Shirt Pocket Video Drone
At only 5 1/2″ long x 2 3/4″ wide when closed, this is the drone that folds up to the size of smartphone and slips into a shirtpocket. Its four 2″-long microelectric propeller motors deploy from each corner, forming a craft that quickly ascends, descends, and nimbly turns in any direction—as well as laterally sideslips left/right—with an easy-to-master radio remote from up to 100′ away.
A push of a button on the remote engages its auto-hover mode for precise picture and video capture with its built-in 720p HD camera; includes 4GB microSD card. Three speed settings enable beginners, advanced fliers, and expert aerial acrobats to perform everything from basic hovering and advanced maneuvers.
Provides up to seven-minute flight times from a 45-minute charge via the included USB cable. Ages 12 and up.

All Terrain Hoverboard
This is the all-terrain electric hoverboard that rolls over dirt, gravel, grass, and pavement with impunity, controlled entirely by the subtle movements in a rider’s feet. Available exclusively from Hammacher Schlemmer, the hoverboard is propelled forward to a maximum speed of 12 MPH, powered by a 400-watt electric motor housed in each of its 8 1/2″-diam. x 3 1/2″-wide all-terrain wheels while gyro sensors and accelerometers in both wheels detect the slightest pressure of the rider’s feet to maintain balance.
A smartphone app allows you to set a maximum speed, change the colors of the transporter’s multicolor front LEDs, and set steering sensitivity. It also plays music from Bluetooth-enabled smartphone via a built-in speaker. Travels up to 10 miles after a 2 1/2-hour charge via the included AC adapter.
Supports up to 265 lbs.

Avengers Virtual Reality Battle
This is the head-mounted blaster game that challenges children to battle Ultron. Arming an aspiring S.H.I.E.L.D. agent with a powerful blaster, the player selects from three levels of difficulty and joins the Avengers to defeat their villainous foe.
The headset fits securely around a child’s head with two adjustable straps, and projects three alternating images (two of Ultron, one of Iron Man) on the inside of the goggles. Young superheroes aim the blaster at Ultron and pull the trigger to score a point, but lose a point if they accidently hit Iron Man in friendly fire.
The blaster provides realistic Avengers sound effects and displays a score tally on the digital counter as the agent brings Ultron closer to his bitter end.

Seated Backyard Zipline Kit
This is the backyard zipline with an integrated seat that allows kids to swoop through the air while remaining close to the ground. Available exclusively from Hammacher Schlemmer, the zipline has an attached seat that reduces stress on arms and allows ziplining at lower heights since riders do not hang as close to the ground.
A galvanized steel cable wraps around two trees at an incline and riders zip from one end to the other while holding the pulley with a bungee braking system that slows or stops the zipline. Similar to ziplines found at luxury ski resorts and adventure camps, it enables riders to swoop up to 90′.
Supports up to 250 lbs

Finding a fun gift for a tween or teen is the one thing that will take them away from their electronics, and these look like fun!
