Christmas Countdown… well G-rinch, that made our Christmas not so happy last year, has once again played his tricks this week, though make no mistake G-rinch was at work earlier in this year too – he doesn’t wait until just the holiday season but that seems to be his favorite time to make the season not so jolly.
Ah yes, the big “G” has made numerous search changes (algorithm updates) which have ruled we are not worthy of the visitors that we use to get. We haven’t done anything against their guidelines, and work very hard on our site to ensure any changes they think we need to do we do. But showing you the best gifts we have found is not good enough for G-rinch to list us. This has hit me hard, in a soul way. You know it is like abuse, though you sure can’t prove it – or do anything about it.
Those of you who follow us know that I started this site back in 2003 (you can read about us here if you are unfamiliar with the story). I wanted to offer searchers the ability to find unique gifts easily and all in one place. It was a passion. It also would give me the ability to make some extra income as I can no longer work outside of my home, so self-employed.
This is not the kind of post that I would want to do at this time of year. What I want to do is showcase you the wonderful unique gifts that I have found for you and have on our site. But the chances are you won’t find us. As hard as I try to get this out to you it continues to be limited or blocked.
Having said that, I do want you to know that I am not giving up. I feel like I have been hit with a baseball bat (in a lot of respects), I do see that our site is definitely not being found as it was, and as it should. But make no mistake, the big “G” is not going to take away my passion – the passion that started this site in the first place.
So even though tonight’s post is not my normal gift giving suggestion blog post, I will continue to do what I know, and what I can, to help you find gifts for the people in your life who have everything or who are hard to buy for.
