Strange title, I know, but stay with me here.
I so want to play paintball.
Who knew!
I am a big fan of the show Big Bang Theory, and one of the episodes they showed them playing paintball. A group of grownups playing a game. It looked like so much fun!
Sort of like a water fight when you were a kid only better.
I have to tell you I do not like violence. I do not like guns. I will actually turn my head away when there is violence on T.V. In truth, I have walked out of movies because they were too violent. But paintball doesn’t look violent to me. It looks like a game of strategy, like many board games (chess for example), just active rather than passive.
Of course paintball looks warlike with hardcore players dressed in camo, ammo, and other military looking gear including helmets that are straight out of a Sci-Fi prop department. But again it’s not about pretending war. it’s about the strategy and other things too. It requires teamwork, cooperation, encourages camaraderie and good sportsmanship.
And it’s great exercise!
And last but not least… My favorite. It’s messy 🙂 Full tilt messy. Everyone thinks that only guys like to get messed up, grimed up and covered with everything under the sun… Not true. At least not true for this girl.
